20 Feb Belated Five for Friday: Floral Ice Cubes, Wedding Traditions & Falling in Love With Your Home
Last week, I was in the car with Lee when I made the mistake of boasting “it’s so good that we haven’t gotten ill this winter!”. Having tempted fate, I’m typing this with a tingling nose, a sore throat, achey biceps (why? why is that a thing?), a packet of half eaten Strepsils. I have a sneeze lingering somewhere between the bridge of my nose and my brain, and I’d really like it if it just came out. Lee is snuffly and sleeping fitfully, and I find his red nose kind of cute. But thankfully we’ve had the weekend to get through the worst it. And, the fact our internet has been down for 3 days (and still is), provided us with much needed rest.
That said, I’m twitchy without the internet (and aware that this Friday post is very, very late), and genuinely missing Instagram. Still, I want to share some cool things with you, even if I’m a little late doing so. 🙂 …
How pretty are these?! It makes me excited for summer barbecues – I’m sure they’ll go down a storm.
I’m not planning on getting married any time soon, but this article seems really joyous and down to earth. Which wedding traditions will you (or did you) ditch?
Mary made me wish I’d been as clever as her this week – she wrote a post about how to fall in love with your home again, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Have you ever told your friend they’re behaving like a bit of an idiot?
Finally, Ian Dunt has summed up what’s happening with Article 50 right now. Be warned, it’s a long read, but even if you just skim the bits that matter most to you, you’ll have a much better grasp of the situation.
What do you when your internet is down, then? I read an entire book, played the piano for an hour and napped a lot…
